6/6/2019 0 Comments Little NamHave you tasted Vietnamese cuisine? You would already be able to have it here in Davao City. To think, their food doesn’t cost that much. Their place was just along Mt. Mayon Street at the back of Sampaguita Inn near Quirino Street. I apologize for forgetting the names of the dishes that we had. I will simply describe them to you then. We had a Fish Tamarind, which the fish was battered and genuine tamarind was in that dish. It was what made it sharp however also sweet. The soups, my speculation named Pho Ga and Pho special, which were chicken with noodles and the other one is beef. The togue was presented with it independently. We additionally had their meat wrap with a ripe mango inside, which made it juicy. It was wrapped with an extremely dainty wrap and lettuce. There is additionally Cha Gio which was same as lumpia here in the Philippines however they had it with a cucumber and a few leaves on its plate.
Generally speaking their restaurant truly feels like you are in Vietnam. I like the structure of their walls and ceiling that they have designed it in the midst of the Vietnamese cultures. Some photos credit to Yan2x my friend. 3/31/2019 0 Comments Rustic Box SteakhouseA mouthwatering steaks, that is the thing that we have been longing for the past days. Finally, unintentionally, we have gotten a portion of the steak at Rustic Box yesterday. It was not our intention to eat there but rather we were amased anticipating for the consequence of our medical tests. Luckily, our results are all good. hahahah.... we should not talk more of it here... Anyway, Rustic Box is simply inside SM Ecoland shopping center. We just planned to purchase something there, however, when we arrived there, it is nearly noon. In this way, we chose to eat there and the first spot came in my mind is their place, the Rustic Box. In spite of the fact that it is very costly, yet the sentiment of fulfillment can't be replaced. You need to taste their steak also. Trust me, you will never regret it.

In Sukidesu, we requested their Sushi Platter, which comprises of eight pieces every one of the three favors of their sushi, their Gyoza and Tempura. Then, in Cafe 90 Eat, we ordered their platter as well, which comprises of Pork steak, carbonara and a mixed of greens. In all fairness, their food was magnificent. We would definitely love to eat at their place once more. Aside from the food that is marvelously terrific, their cost is just right also. We were astonished to their wall frames that says, "Ways to my Heart... 1. Buy Me Food; 2. Make Me Food; 3. Be Food". A two thumbs again! By the way, we had a walk after to reduced the calories intake. hahah.. We have passed by the wonderful lights at Roxas night market. Obviously, we didn't miss any moment without taking photographs.

Well, one of them, who is much famous is J.V. Ejercito. I took a photo with him immediately. You can see that below. hahah. In spite of the fact that I am not an excessive fanatic of them, however it is in my favored I presumed.
Anyway, the food in Cafe Tavera was awesome. We even wanted to order for more however our stomach was already full subsequent after looking at their fresh seafoods at the front for the customers to choose particularly when we looked at their fresh very large crabs. I would definitely love to go back to their place. To think, they won the declaration of Excellence from TripAdvisor in 2016-2017. They are extremely one of the top restaurants here in Davao City. 3/4/2019 0 Comments La Toscana Davao
The spot was impeccable since it isn't a long way from every one of us especally to Zendy will's identity originating from work and will bring her little girl, Yanna, who went to her voice lessons. When entering in their place, the tables were already set. We have snapped a picture of their table setting. It was extremely pleasant and exquisite. We have requested three sorts of pasta, two sorts of pizza and one fundamental course in their menu. That much, correct? hahah.. Actually we have chosen to do that with the goal that it would already be able to suffice our snacks and our dinner at the same time. It was a very well-spent gathering. In that place, we were able to talk so many things. It will always be remembered and hoping for more "laag" or gatherings like this. Anyway, we did not end our gathering in that place. We still went to the bowling center and had a coffee in French Baker in SM Lanang. More of them in my other blog.

Sadly, we didn’t have enough resources anymore. You know payday is still one more week away. Hahah… Simply say, our group is just the thriftiest group. So, we decided to have dinner instead. Fortunately, Nelson offered a 500 peso bill for the gathering. We wanted to have it in a cozy restaurant, at the same time we cannot spend a lot for our gathering. Good to have in mind the “New Davao Famous Restaurant” which is located just near our office. When we arrived at the place, we have ordered their specialty in their menu, which is the Lomi. We have taken the photo of it. Definitely, you will drool in it. We have ordered the large size, which costs for P300 only. Then, we just added their famous fried rice for only P210, of course the large one as well and their Battered Chicken half for only P200. Then the group will just divide the P210 only except for Nelson. See, the group really had saved a lot at the same time really had an exceptional gathering. We began the gathering with a photo and finish it off with a photo as well. Well, we are really wishing the best of luck for Nelson’s future endeavor and hoped he will never forget us.
2/20/2019 0 Comments Bondi & Bourke DavaoWhen you heard of Bondi & Bourke, you would not expect that there is a place called like that here in Davao City. Anyway, one of our “Superfriends” (as we named our circle of friends), Maya, just came back here in the Philippines for a vacation from her work in Dubai. We all then agreed to meet with her on a Tuesday dinner date. However, we didn’t know where it would be. At first, we decided to meet up at Abreeza Mall as it was the place where it will be accessible for the five of us (Marianne, Karel, Zendy, Maya and myself). But then, the night before the date, Marianne send us a message that we rather go for Bondi & Bourke. Where the heck is this Bondi & Bourke? Well, it was my first time hearing that name here. Sorry to say that. I admit sometimes I am ignorant to some luxurious restaurants here in Davao. Though, it was easy to find it in google maps. Thanks to google maps. Hahah.. Knowing Marianne’s preference, who is also classy and has a good sense of taste, we all then agreed. Even Maya was curious if there is a dress code to go there. Good to know that there is none. In fairness, the place was really awesome. Their building structure is a classic Philippine design. I have grab a photo of their building in google images as mine is not as good as it is. Credits to tripadvisor.com. Their food was very delightful. We took photos of the first round of plate that they served which were the Appetizers. I have placed their caption of each of the photos I have posted.
It was then followed by their main courses. It was Marianne, Karel and Maya who actually chose our main courses from their menu as me and Zendy were late to arrive in the place. Besides, all their choices were all enchanting. Though it was really costly but it was worth it. What a wonderful experience to have gotten to their place and savored their International cuisine. There is also nothing more compelling to spend time with your friends especially to my "Superfriends". 2/8/2019 0 Comments Annie Pie
2/5/2019 0 Comments Mr. Kimbob stall![]() We went to SM Ecoland to meet my mother who just came from Digos to purchase a steamer. Our steamer in our stall was unfortunately broke yesterday. After having purchased a steamer, we went directly to their food court to have our lunch as it was already past 1:00 in the afternoon. We truly did not forsee the time that it was already late for lunch. Anyway, I wanted my mother to taste the food of the new Korean stall. The Mr. Kimbob stall. I immediately ordered their Bibimbob for my mother and their Samgyupsal for me. Definitely, my mom and I will still share each meal. Though their food will still take maybe 10-15 minutes to prepare, we still go for it. Wallah, it was worth the wait as the food was really fresh and yummy. It really looked like the pictures below. As I forgot to take pictures of my own, thanks to google, I was able to find pictures of the same. |
