2/6/2019 0 Comments Taho and its health benefits
Health Benefits of Taho: 1. Reducing the risk of getting breast cancer. It is thought to provide the same sort of protection against cancer and heart disease as soya beans. 2. Helps prevent Heart Disease. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of soy peptides found in fermented soy food like tofu can help protect the blood vessels from oxidative and inflammatory damage. 3. Lowers Cholesterol. Soya protein (from which tofu is derived) is believed to help lower levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) which also helps in preventing obesity. 4. Prevention of type 2 diabetes. High levels of total soy intake (approximately 200 grams per day) have also been associated with decreased risk of type 2 diabetes . Soy foods have been shown to lessen insulin resistance by increasing the synthesis of insulin receptors. 5. Reduces menopausal side effects. During the menopause, the body’s natural production of oestrogen stops and symptoms may arise. As phytoestrogens act as a weak oestrogen, they may help relieve symptoms by boosting levels slightly, reducing hot flushes in some women. 6. Helps your gastrointestinal tract. There is some evidence, mostly in animal studies, that soyasaponins can lessen the rate of lipid peroxidation in blood vessels, lessen absorption of cholesterol from the GI tract, and increase excretion of fecal bile acids. Taho is not only good for our health, but it is spending plan neighborly as well. For that one cup, it cost Php10 and there is bigger cup which costs Php20 only. I would want for more... Call your Taho vendor now... hahah.. TTAAHOOO...

2/5/2019 0 Comments Mr. Kimbob stallWe went to SM Ecoland to meet my mother who just came from Digos to purchase a steamer. Our steamer in our stall was unfortunately broke yesterday. After having purchased a steamer, we went directly to their food court to have our lunch as it was already past 1:00 in the afternoon. We truly did not forsee the time that it was already late for lunch. Anyway, I wanted my mother to taste the food of the new Korean stall. The Mr. Kimbob stall. I immediately ordered their Bibimbob for my mother and their Samgyupsal for me. Definitely, my mom and I will still share each meal. Though their food will still take maybe 10-15 minutes to prepare, we still go for it. Wallah, it was worth the wait as the food was really fresh and yummy. It really looked like the pictures below. As I forgot to take pictures of my own, thanks to google, I was able to find pictures of the same. 2/5/2019 0 Comments My Chinese New YearI am not Chinese but sometimes I do some traditions that Chinese do during their New Year... ahahah feeling Chinese lang ang peg. Anyway, when I was in Dubai, during this day I usually buy thirteen (13) pieces of ponkan, arrange them in one plate and place it in our table. At the point when New Year's eve came, I rolled the ponkans on the floor from our door going inside the house.. Observing Chinese New Year in Dubai was fun as there are firecrackers and numerous presentations in the shopping centers. While in the Philippines, explicitly in Davao, it is extremely peaceful as firecrackers are not permitted but rather it is on a work holiday and the preferred standpoint is you are with your family. Unfortunately, I don't have photos celebrating Chinese New Year in Dubai anymore. All the photos I have posted here were taken here in Davao. Definitely, it is more fun in the Philippines.
My friend, Lizza and I went to the shopping center yesterday. We wanted to watch a movie. We pass by the basic supply division or the grocery store first to purchase our stuff so that after the film we can return home straightforwardly. After purchasing our stuffs, we at last went upstairs for the movie. We at that point have picked "Posession of Hannah Grace". Have you viewed its trailer? As a matter of fact, it is a blood and gore flick (horror movie).. I love horror films. I just chuckled watching them.. hahah. We at that point called our other companion, Lavelle to go along with us after her overtime work. However, at that point, she don't prefer to watch horror films as she is frightened of them. Because of that, just me and Lizza chose not to watch a movie any longer rather we will simply have our dinner, a sumptuous one. Noonsaram, a korean foodstall in their foodcourt is our first choice. As we take a glance at their menu and the photos in it, they look all scrumptious however it is very costly. To our liking of having them, we decided to choose each one of us different item and we will just divide each one for us. You know what it is? Tadan... it is their Bibimbop and Jjampyeong. We didn't expect that it will be extensively a huge amount and to think that we can eat just little sums. It was extremely an extravagant and rich one. We at that point took photographs of the prior and then afterward. We were full to the degree that we felt our stomach burst from them. hahah... You must try them too and the next time maybe a group of four of you can finish their meal. In the cause of having lunch in the workplace, I still need to go to the shopping center to meet my mom who just came from other city, which is Digos. She need to return immediately around the same time so I just went to see her. When they requested their meal, they simply requested mango float for me as my dessert. In decency, the mango float was scrumptious in a moderate cost. As I was eating that "mango float", I thought of how they made it. So now, I am going to share to you its recipe which I simply found in google. Here it goes... Ingredients:
1 box of Graham crackers 1 box of Graham crumbs (optional) 2 small cans Nestle cream 1 can of Condensed milk 1 can of Evaporated milk 6 ripe mangoes, sliced (Cooking Measurements ) Instructions: Prepare a rectangular glass dish with or without lid. In a bowl, whisk Nestle cream until smooth. Add the condensed and evaporated milk. Whisk until well combined. Using a ladle, place a small amount of the milk mixture into the bottom of the dish, then place a layer of Graham crackers and top with the sliced mangoes. Ladle a mixture again, slowly pour over the crackers and the mangoes, making sure it covers all of the Graham crackers. Repeat by placing layers of crackers, mangoes and milk mixture. Top off with Graham crumbs (or just crushed some Graham crackers). Cover and freeze overnight. Tadah! That is it... I trust you will appreciate it as well... Obviously, in the event that you don't prefer to have some exertion or you would prefer not to break one perspiration then you could simply get some too at Gmall Bajada food court. hahaha! 11/6/2018 0 Comments Roxas Night MarketLast night after an exhausting work, we (me and my friends, Lizza and Lavelle) had the urge to have our dinner in Roxas night market. Perhaps it was my third time to have eaten there and the same feeling goes of having a stomach-bursting after. Wew… what an awesome feeling at the same time, a little guilt of having an exercise to loosen the calories intake. Hahah… Anyway, eating in Roxas night market is very fulfilling and a cost-friendly place. Aside from the many grilled foods to choose from, there are also desserts, drinks and even different kinds of street foods. Though the costs of their grilled pork varies maybe because of their sizes. Few of the grilled pork costs only 10pesos each stick and some costs P15. My friend Lavelle is the expert one to choose which one from them has the better taste. She told me the technique. It was just their sauce actually. You have to choose the stall which has that brown sticky sauce and not just the soy sauce that most of them offer. They have tuna, squid and chicken as well. Fortunately, from the time when we go there, there is one stall who served a seafood soup (Tinola style or you can make it Sinigang-sour soup style). We then choose the Tinola style. We additionally ordered few grilled pork and rice of course. We ordered coke (a small one) then we just divided it to the three of us to lessen our calorie intake. We wanted to eat more but then we are already full. We just took photos of some of their street food like Chicken Fried Siomai, the Dynamite with Cheese, and the Chicken Dragon Ball, which costs 3 for P20. There are also fish balls which costs 15pcs for P10 and the Kikiam costs 8pcs for P20. We really had a satisfying yet economical meal. We took a photo of their different kinds of buchi as well.

Ingredients: 150g penne 1/4 cup chicken fillet - cut to small chunks 1/4 cup brocolli - slice thin 1/4 cup button mushroom (I used Ayam Brand) 1/4 cup capsicums (original recipe asked for only green capsicum, but since I love colors, I mixed green, yellow and red capsicum to the amount of 1/4 cup) - cut to 2 inch size match stick 2 to 3 tablespoons Bolognaise sauce (I used Kimball brand) 1 to 2 tablespoons mushroom soup powder (I used Campbell's Mushroom Chicken with crutons) 1/2 cup whip cream 1/2 cup mozarella cheese chilli flakes - amount to your liking Instructions: 1. Boil the penne with a bit of salt and a few dashes of olive oil till al dente. Drain the pasta and keep about 1 cup of the water used to boil the penne. This will be used to do the cooking. 2. Heat a flat wok. Add the brocolli, chicken chunks and 4 tablespoons water. Cook on high heat. When the chicken starts to change color, add in the capsicums. 3. Add in the penne and stir well. Add bolognaise sauce, mushroom soup powder and whip cream. Add water if it is too thick. Note : Do not add bolognaise sauce too much. Just enough to give it an orangish colour. 4. Finally add grated mozarella cheese and sprinkle some chilli flakes. Add salt and water if needed. 5. Ready to serve. Enjoy! 8/17/2016 0 Comments Pasta Craving
As we were on the train, I have talked to her about my craving for pasta, she then suggested to me “The Vanellis” in Deira City Centre food court.. Thanks to her I was able to have an idea where to eat pasta…. And so I was very excited to try “The Vanellis” pasta as what she suggested…. When I reached Deira City Centre, I went directly to their stall. It was really what exactly she described to me. It was just beside the MCDonalds and their stall was divided in two where you can order pizza too. I went directly to their pasta section and ask for their menu. I ordered the chicken pasta right away. I thought that was it but you still have to choose which noodle you prefer, where there is this curl noodle, the normal and the shell shape or can you choose the mixed of them. You have to choose the sauce as well, would it be white sauce, red sauce or mixed.. With the selections, I was confused what to order as they sound all tasty and delicious. Fortunately, the chef noticed that it was my first time to go there and suggested what would be the best for me. And so, he gave me mixed noodle with chicken and beef bacon on it with the mixed sauce and some chilli condiments. He also added some broccoli and mushroom. I was so excited to taste it as I watched how he cooked it. When he finished and put it in the plate, I right away paid it and brought it in my table. Uummm… looks so yummy.. Don’t worry, before I ate it, I took a picture of it.. The taste was really perfect. Though it cost a little expensive but it was really worth it. Their pasta was really recommendable.. If you crave for pasta, the Vanellis pasta is the best.. You have to try it. I even want to eat there now as I am sharing you this experience of mine.. yum.. |
